10,000 words, baby! A little behind schedule, but it still feels good.
Adam had full responsibility for just about everything this weekend while I wrote like a maniac. Luckily Saturday was gorgeous so Sol and Luna spent the day outside. The themes for the day were leaves and The Legend of Zelda.
There was an article in the Sunday Source of the Washington Post about all this noveling madness. Come to think of it, I probably should have been writing instead of reading it.

Congratulations! Luna and Sol look amazing. How have they reacted to nanowrimo and your participation in this madness?

Thank you!
They have been handling the change in routine pretty well. Luna is slightly annoyed that I'm getting up so much earlier these days. She likes to sleep in with me. Sol is really excited about the whole thing. He's very competitive, and I think the challenging yourself aspect of it speaks to him. Also, he's about twenty-four words into his Harry Potter book, so he can really appreciate the accomplishment. And they are both loving the extra time with Adam; bonding with him in a new way. I think it makes them feel even more secure to realize that he can do most of the things that I do to take care of them.
